DAY 1 Yangon Arrival
On arrival at Yangon Airport you will be met by our friendly English-speaking guide and taken to your hotel for check-in. In the evening, the sightseeing tour starts with the majestic 2,500 year old Shwedagon Pagoda, the country’s spiritual landmark. Enjoy the welcome dinner at a unique restaurant. Overnight in Yangon.
DAY 2 Yangon – Bagan
After breakfast, check out your hotel and go to Bagan by flight. Upon arrival check in at Bagan hotel and set off to some of the area’s highlights, including the golden Shwezigone Pagoda, noted for its frescoes and stucco works, and Ananda Temple, a masterpiece of Mon architecture. Break for lunch at a local fine dining restaurant. In the afternoon, the guided exploration of Bagan continues with Dhammayangyi Pahto, the largest of Bagan’s temples, as well as Thatbyinnhyu Temple. Then, head to the sunset viewing area and enjoy the beautiful sunset of Bagan. A local restaurant will host a tasty dinner and a traditional Myanmar puppet show for you. Overnight in Bagan.
DAY 3 Bagan Full Day
After breakfast, check out your hotel and start the day with a visit to the vibrant morning market in Nyaung-U, catching a glimpse of local life and culture. Set off to some of the area’s highlights, including the golden Shwezigone Pagoda, Gupyaukgyi Pagoda, noted for its frescoes and stucco works, and Ananda Temple, a masterpiece of the Mon architecture. Lunch will be self-arranged. Then, visit to a lacquer ware shop which is in Myinkaba village. You can watch artisans craft, paint and engrave lovely cups, bowls and other accessories for souvenir shopping for your loved ones back home. Then take a short a short walking tour to explore the temples of Manuha and Nan Paya. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant. Overnight in Bagan.
DAY 4 Bagan – Mandalay
After breakfast, check out your hotel and transfer to Nyaung U Airport. Take a flight to Mandalay International Airport. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and continue your sightseeing tour in Mandalay - major highlights include Kuthodaw Pagoda, containing the world’s largest book and Shwe Nan Daw Monastery, one of the finest examples of traditional Myanmar-style wooden monastery building in the country. Take some break at a local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, visit to Gold-leaf pounding work shop. After that Amarapura, located 11km south of Mandalay. Visit the famous U-Pein Bridge, the world’s longest teak bridge. Enjoy beautiful sunset in U Pein Bridge. Then, back to Mandalay. On the way to Mandalay, proceed Mahamuni Pagoda, the heart of Mandalay. Dinner will be served at a unique restaurant. Overnight in Mandalay.
DAY 5 Mandalay Full Day
Amarpura, Ava (Innwa) and Sagaing are the all former capitals of the old kingdom of Myanmar. After breakfast, start with a transfer to Amarpura, the 18th century capital where the country’s largest monastery is located, Maha Ghandayon. Lunch at the fine local restaurant. After lunch, transfer to another ancient capital such as Ava (Innwa), which was the capital of Myanmar before Amarpura. Then visit to the Wooden Bagaya and Maha Aungmye Bonzan. Cross the Ayeyarwaddy River and head for the picturesque view of Sagaing Hill. Visits around the area houses an incredible amount of pagodas and monasteries, all painted white. End of the day with very beautiful sunset view at the magnificent teak bridge of U Bein, which is over 200 years old. It is the longest teak bridge in the world. Then drive back to Mandalay. Dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant. Overnight in Mandalay.
DAY 6 Mandalay – Inle Lake
After breakfast, check out your hotel and transfer to Mandalay International Airport. Take a morning flight to Heho Airport (Inle lake). Upon arrival at the lake, a boat is waiting for you to start a full day of sightseeing on the lake. This will include the famous leg-rowing fishermen, floating gardens and the villages on stilts. A stop will also be made at Paung-Daw-Oo Pagoda, an important religious site in the Shan State. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. If time permits, visit a silk weaving workshop to watch the fascinating process of spinning and weaving lotus flowers into stunning products such as scarves and shirts. The last stop for the day will take you to a silversmith workshop to watch artisans craft lovely pieces of jewelry. Dinner will be arranged at your hotel. Overnight in Inle Lake.
DAY 7 Inle Lake – Yangon
After breakfast, visit to Indein morning market. Then transfer to Heho airport to take a flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and take a short rest. Lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit to the famous Bogyoke Aung San Market. The market offers an excellent opportunity for souvenir shopping for your loved ones back home. explore downtown Yangon where the British colonial influence is still evident. The guided tour will start with a range of beautiful colonial style buildings, as well as the City Hall, a fine example of Myanmar architecture, and the Independence Monument. Then, head to bustling for the night market. Enjoy dinner at the night market. Overnight in Yangon.
DAY 8 Yangon Departure
After breakfast, take your free time. After hotel check out, transfer to Yangon airport to take the outward flight to go home. End of service.
