DAY 1: Lucerne
Transfer by rail to Lucerne and visit to the Chapel Bridge. The centrepiece of Lucerne’s townscape and is considered to be one of the oldest, covered wooden bridges in Europe.
DAY 2: Lucerne / Excursion Mount Pilatus
This is a fantastic excursion to enjoy beautiful views of the Lake Lucerne region. Short cruise across the lake to Alpnachstad. Change here to the steepest cogwheel train in the world. For the return journey chose between cogwheel train or gondola to Kriens.
DAY 3: Lucerne – St. Moritz
Get on board of the train and ride to the world famous holiday resort of St. Moritz. There are numerous luxury hotels, spas and upscale shops against an Alpine background of lakes and mountains.
DAY 4: St. Moritz - Zermatt with Glacier Express
Today, you take the world famous Glacier Express to Zermatt which crosses no less than 291 bridges and goes through 91 tunnels. After an exhilarating trip, you will arrive in Zermatt, at the foot of the Matterhorn.
DAY 5: Zermatt / Excursion Gornergrat
The cogwheel train will take you up to 3089 m. During the ride to the summit you will experience excellent vantage points for some 29 four-thousand-meter peaks including the mighty Matterhorn.
DAY 6: Zermatt - Interlaken
Leave the Valais region and ride on a train to the Bernese Oberland to Interlaken.
DAY 7: Interlaken / Excursion Jungfraujoch (Optional)
Take the train from Interlaken to the Kleine Scheidegg at the foot of the famous Eiger. Change trains and ride via ‘Eiger Gletscher’ to the Jungfraujoch – the highest railway station in Europe at 3454 m.
DAY 8: Departure
Journey back by train to the airport.
