DAY 1: Arrive Dublin
Upon arrival in Dublin, you will be transferred to your hotel by private vehicle. Rest of the day is free at leisure to take a walk around the city. Can opt for a visit to Malahide Castle and Gardens, visit National Gallery & most famous The Temple Bar. Overnight in Dublin.
DAY 2: Dublin - Hop on Hop Off city tour
After breakfast proceed on your own to the departure point for the Hop on Hop o_ Tour of Dublin. Stops along the tour route include: Trinity College, The Guinness Storehouse, Dublin Castle, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Kilmainham Gaol and the Old Jameson Distillery. Overnight in Dublin.
DAY 3: Dublin – Killarney
After breakfast pick up your car hire in Dublin and travel southwards through the town of Kildare onwards to Cashel. Cashel is one of Ireland’s most popular heritage towns. You visit the Rock of Cashel: a spectacular group of medieval buildings set on an outcrop of limestone in the Golden Vale, including the 12th century round tower, High Cross and Romanesque Chapel, 13th century Gothic cathedral, 15th century castle and the restored Hall counties of Tipperary and Cork until you reach the atmospheric town of Killarney. Overnight in Killarney.
DAY 4: Killarney
After breakfast take a Jaunting Cart ride out to Ross Castle and enjoy the lovely vista of the Killarney Lakes. In the afternoon visit Muckross House, situated in Killarney National Park, close to the eastern shore of Muckross Lake. View the principal rooms of the House, which are furnished in period style, you will also see exhibitions and displays illustrating various aspects of the lifestyles and crafts of the people of Kerry. The Park covers an area of 10,000 hectares and includes the world famous lakes of Killarney and the mountains and woodland that surrounds them. Overnight in Killarney.
DAY 5: Killarney – Limerick; Limerick – Galway
After breakfast, you will drive northwards to Limerick through the picturesque town of Adare. Then drive to the Cli_s of Moher, sheer cli_s dropping 600 feet to the water below, one of the most impressive stretches of shoreline on the west coast of Ireland. Travel back to Ennis, a town famous for its Irish Music in the Pubs and then travel through the wonder plateau occupying an area of over 100 square miles in North Clare. Here the unfolding layers of limestone form terraces on the slopes of the hills; a limestone desert but with a quick-changing landscape. Overnight in Galway.
DAY 6: Galway – Derry
After breakfast, drive northwards to Derry. Stop en-route in Sligo town and visit Sligo Abbey: known locally as the Abbey, this Dominican friary was founded in the mid-13th century by Maurice FitzGerald. The site contains a great wealth of carvings including Gothic and Renaissance tomb sculpture, well preserved cloisters and the only sculptured 15th century high altar to survive in any Irish monastic church. Continue to Derry. Overnight in Derry.
DAY 7: Derry – Belfast
After breakfast enjoy a walking tour of Derry: tour will take in all the main sights along the 1 mile circuit, including the original Gates - Shipquay, Butcher, Bishop and Ferryquay. Then drive to the Giants Causeway and Old Bushmills Distillery. First stop is the Giants Causeway: the ancients believed that this spectacular rock formation was the work of the giant Finn McCool, the Ulster warrior and commander of the king of Ireland’s armies. After your walk here, drive onwards to the oldest whiskey distillery in the world: Old Bushmills Distillery. Here learn about whiskey making which has its tradition here for over 400 years ago. At the end of the tour, have the opportunity of tasting the home made whiskey. Continue to Belfast. Overnight in Belfast.
DAY 8: Belfast
After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Belfast Airport and drop o_ your car hire before your flight home.
